Dorothy Huckabee Forstman, 85 of Hoover, went to be with her Lord Thursday, October 5, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother and adoring grandmother. Mrs. Forstman was a faithful member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and a strong believer in Jesus Christ. Mrs. Forstman is preceded by her husband, Carl E. Forstman; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur B. Huckabee; brother, Arthur Huckabee and sister, Nellie Gray Huckabee. She is survived by her son, Jeff Forstman (Gina); brother-in-law, James D. Forstman (Edwina) grandchildren, Jared Forstman and Connor Forstman; and nieces and nephews. The celebration of Dorothy’s life will be 2pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hunter Street Baptist Church.
