Dottie Jean Devore

Dottie had a long career with Walmart, where she worked as an associate and eventually retired. In 1995, she married Charles Devore and spent many years together creating many loving memories.

Dottie had a passion for Alabama football and never missed a chance to cheer for the Tide.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Margaret Phillips, and her children, Tracy Shirley and Dawn Judd. Siblings, Jack, Wayne, Betty, Joann and Kenny.

Dottie leaves behind her husband, Charles Devore; grandchildren, Zachary Shirley and Danielle Parker (Danny); siblings, Donn Edward (Bonnie) and Sue Melsoni; and nieces and nephews, Terry Green, Chris Phillips, Steve Melsoni, David Melsoni, Susie Allen, Mark Hale, Felecia Phillips , Paula Calvin, Bryant Phillips, and Melanie Hale.

The family will have a graveside service in her honor on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 1:00 pm at southern Heritage Funeral Home and cemetery.
