BURNETT, DOUG, 60, of Pelham passed away on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. Doug was born September 1, 1951; he was the son of the late C.B. Burnett and Norma Motes Burnett. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Debbie Wilson Burnett; son, Aaron Burnett; daughter-in-law, Keri; grandchildren, Taylor, Savannah, Mackenzie, Sydney and Mason. Mr. Burnett recently retired from US Steel after almost 40 years of service. Services will be held at 11:00am Thursday at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with visitation Wednesday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Burial will be at Elliotsville Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Shelby Cancer Care Center.
