

He was a member of AA for over 40 years. Ed cherished all the many friends and relationships he formed during this time. All of these special friends helped him lead a fruitful and productive life. His passion for this special group was such an important part of his daily life.
Ed was predeceased by his wife of 60 plus years, Sekiko Nagai Heacock, his daughters, Mary Agnes Heacock and Julie Yeager, and his granddaughter, Hannah Grace Yeager.
He is survived by his two daughters, Misayo Heacock Lim (TS Lim) of Madison, AL, and Erimi Heacock Young (Brad Young) of Alabaster, AL; his grandchildren, Eric Lim (Abbie) and great-granddaughter, Hannah Joseph, Meggie Lim, Kennith Young, Mary Allison Young, Nicholas Paul Yeager, and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Inurnment will conclude at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo at 1:15 pm.
