Edward Shaw

It is with great sadness that I share with you today the passing of my husband, Edward Shaw. It is impossible for words to describe the impact of this loss. Edward was larger than life. When he entered a room, everything-and everyone-seemed to gravitate toward him. Edward built a life of perseverance, success, loyalty, and love. Those around him wanted to work with him, break bread with him, and often found themselves witnessing one of those magical moments when a new idea would spark and another dream would begin. Countless lives have been forever changed because of knowing Edward, and those memories will continue to live on through all of US.

We grieve the loss of a husband, a father, and a man whom so many admired and loved. We ask that you please give our family the space we need as we navigate this unimaginable loss. We also invite you to join us this Sunday, August 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Riverchase United Methodist Church (1953 Old Montgomery Highway, Birmingham, AL 35244) as we celebrate Edward's life and honor his extraordinary legacy.

In lieu of sending flowers, we invite you to share a handwritten note or memory of Edward. If you plan to attend the service, please bring your note with you to the church, where we will be collecting them for the family. Your words, memories, and prayers will become a treasured keepsake that we will cherish in the days and years ahead. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
