Elma is survived by her children Jim Dobbs (Billie), Debbie Duck (Lynn), Donna Wilson, and Lisa Mays; grandchildren Mell Dobbs III, Carol Gilham, Melissa Duck Dobbs, Kimberly Mays, and Nick Wilson; and great-grandchildren Mason and Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mell J. Dobbs Sr.; 10 brothers and sisters; and great-granddaughter Madison.
Elma was a beloved mother and grandmother. She was known for being meticulous and orderly. Elma became a real estate agent and opened her own real estate firm, Imperial Realty, which she owned and operated for over 10 years. She was licensed in both appraisals and brokerage. Elma enjoyed singing, playing games, and cooking. Her family is her legacy and she will be deeply missed.
A visitation for Elma will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, Alabama 35124. Funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM. Burial at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
