

CLAYTON, EVA MAE "MAMA" BOOTH Age 87, passed away Tuesday, April 03, 2012. She is preceded in death by husband; Lane Clayton, parents; Walter and Lillian Booth, daughter; Tillie Clayton Bailey and son; Larry Clayton. She is survived by her son-in-law; Neil Bailey and daughter-in-law; Cathy Clayton and four grandchildren; Dawn Bailey Duffy (Evan), Del Clayton (Julie), Howard Bailey (Dotti), DeeDee Clayton O'Neal (Howard), 9 great grandchildren; Hope Bailey, Brooke Bailey, Brittany Brantley, Taylor Duffy, Aaron Clayton, Rachel Clayton, Rebekah Clayton, Clay O'Neal, William O'Neal; one brother; Cecil Booth (Micky); two sisters-in-law; Emory Booth and Ola Mae Lee, numerous nieces and nephews, and her dearest friends, Lillie Mae Campbell, Phyllis and Billy Dean Harris. Eva was a life long member of Helena United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed many activities at HUMC including Virginia Tucker Sunday School Class, the Morning Glories Circle, and the Lillie Mae Bible Study Class. Throughout her life, Eva has demonstrated a strong faith that she lived out on a daily basis, most recently in the loss of her two children. Her unwavering faith will be her legacy to the family. She will long be remembered by friends and family for her homemade banana pudding and peanut brittle. She was a resident of Helena, Alabama most of her life, and at the time of her passing was a resident of Alabaster, Alabama. Services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Helena United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 11:30- 1:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 PM. Burial to follow at Helena City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Helena United Methodist Church, 2035 Highway 58, Helena, Alabama, 35080. The family would like to thank Dr. Manuel Carcelen, Dr. Joyce Koppang, and Dr. Cynthia Walters for their compassionate care and support, and also the nursing staff on 3rd and 4th floors of Shelby Baptist Medical Center, South Tower during her illness.
