

Sister Eva Mae Johnson, was born October 3, 1941 to Evare and the late William Wagner, Jr. in Montgomery, Alabama. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was educated in public schools of Birmingham, Alabama High School, Western Olin graduating class of 1958. Higher Education, New York State Nursing Program; Adelphia College; Suffolk Community. Gainfully employed she worked with inspiration and became a recipient of four (4) distinguished Nursing Awards. Retired as a Registered Nurse with twenty (20) plus years of service. Eva married the late Leo B. Johnson and to this union three children were born: Leo, Sonja and Desmond. In 1980 she married Henry A. Johnson, children, Cythnia L. and Jeffery A. She departed this life on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Shelby Baptist Hospital. Eva was preceded in death by siblings: Willie James, John Edwin and Barbara Jean. Eva leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Henry A. Johnson; children, Leo B. (Charlene) Johnson of Virginia; Sonja Johnson of Buffalo, N.Y.; and Desmond (Stephanie) Johnson of Texas; step children, Cythnia L. Johnson of Charlotte, N.C. and Jeffery A. Johnson of Long Island, N.Y.; ten (10) grandchildren, LaVar Johnson, Desmond, Eva, Hannah, Tyler, Leiah, Alexander, Desiree, Maxwell, and Faith; three (3) great grandchildren, Romeo, Christian, and Jaycee; siblings, Leontist (Clydell), Bettye Jean, Jeanette and Caelovonne (Ralph); a special niece, Noel Carter; special friend, Midori Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.
