Evelyn Ferne Robertson

Evelyn Ferne Robertson, age 90 of Pelham, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Mrs. Robertson retired from Bush Hog in Selma after 25 years, where she worked in Human Resources. She was an active member of the Methodist church in Selma, Prattville and Alabaster. Evelyn shared her love of people by volunteering as a Pink Lady and being involved with the Keenager program. She enjoyed hobbies including crafts, sewing and cooking. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Robertson is preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Gordon Thurston Robertson (USAF Ret.) and her son, Steve Robertson. Sheissurvivedby her daughter, Susanna Barnes (John); son, Stan Robertson (Sandy); daughter-in-law, Frances Robertson; and grandchildren, Jill Robertson Maculewicz, Tyler Robertson, Chase Robertson, Ryann Robertson Harris (Gene), John Gordon Barnes, Peyton Diffenbaugher (Scott) and Anne Cameron Pablovich (Edward).

The celebration of Evelyn’s life will be at 10am on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Alabaster First United Methodist Church. The burial will be at noon at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in Springville, with a reception following. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham.
