

Faye Pou, age 77, of Chelsea, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. She was a native of Arkansas who also lived in Meridian, Mississippi, Lafayette, Louisiana and Baton Rouge, Louisiana before moving to Alabama in 1999.
Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, David G. Pou. She is survived by her much loved son, David W. Pou of Chelsea, Alabama; a very special adopted family, Sharon, Mike, David and Melissa Little of Kennesaw, Georgia; her Smith family cousins in Arkansas whom she thought of as the siblings she never had; her Union Church family; and a host of other family members and friends.
Faye was a woman known for her deep love of her family and friends, her sweet spirit, her strength, her beautiful smile and easy laugh, and her always cheerful attitude no matter what challenges she was facing in life. (Rumor has it she was also highly accomplished in the art of Christmas and Fall decorating.) Faye always lived her life with kindness and grace and she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. Services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Chapel at Union, the Church at Chelsea Park, 4321 Highway 32, Wilsonville, AL 35186. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., with a memorial service following at 11 a.m.
