

Floyd Raymon Bean Jr., age 85, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, at his Mountain Brook, Alabama home, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 27, 1939 in Freeport, Texas and grew up in Alvin, Texas.
Upon graduation from Alvin High School and working with his father, Raymon attended Lamar University. While there, he majored in Geology and met his wife, Jaqueline Dezelle. He went on to start several successful businesses spanning from Texas to Alabama. Although he was an active entrepreneur, he loved being out on the water, exploring new places and spending time with his grandchildren - those were the activities that truly brought him joy.
Raymon is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jaqueline Dezelle Bean; his daughter, Jennifer Green Calvin; his sister, Mary Bean Die; and his four grandchildren, Jayde, Jennah, Hayden, and Hensley Green. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Joseph Calvin, and his four children, Kalli, Elizabeth, Joe, and Virginia.
Raymon is preceded in death by his daughter, Amie Lynn Bean; his parents, Mildred and Floyd Bean; and his sister, Carolyn Bean Middleton.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Grace A United Methodist Congregation in Vestavia Hills, Alabama from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by A Service of Remembrance at 12 noon at the church, 5125 Sicard Hollow Road, Vestavia Hills, AL 35242.
