Frances Manning Adkins

Frances was a patient, kind, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John Preston Adkins; sisters, Mary Ellen Dill and Bertha Lou Jackson; and brothers, George Manning, Harm Manning, Ernest Manning, Frank Manning Sr., and Howard Manning.

Survivors include Frances' daughter, Carol Sands Holt of Alabaster; granddaughter, Jeannie Blain Lindsay (Maury); great-grandchildren, Robert Samuel Lindsay and Amanda Lindsay Reeder (Brett); great-great-granddaughter, Charlie Jean Reeder; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017, Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, Alabama. Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Friday, June 23, 2017, Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Busby Cemetery, Nauvoo, Alabama. Chaplains Essie May, Jeff Howard, and John Churchill will officiate.
