George F. Thompson, age 91, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on September 19, 2026. He was born in Cullman, AL, and was a graduate of Ensley High School. George went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University. He enjoyed a career working in management for many years with Liberty National Life Insurance Company.
On July 13, 1963, George married the love of his life, Linda H. Thompson, and they began a life filled with love, family, and wonderful memories.
In his spare time he enjoyed a good game of golf and spending time with friends and family.
George leaves behind his loving wife, Linda Thompson, children, George F. Thompson II, and Leah Asencio (Eric); grandchildren, Zachary L. Thompson, and Kiley M. Asencio.
A Graveside Service will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124, US, on September 22, 2026, at 10:00 am.
