Gladys King Christian

The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Sardis Springs Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama, immediately followed by A Memorial Celebration of Gladys Christian's Life at 2 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to the American Liver Foundation.

Gladys graduated from Elkmont High School. She worked several years in office management for Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons of Huntsville, Alabama, as well as for a number of nursing homes.

Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Donald L. Christian, to whom she was married on September 8, 1982, and her father, Lonnie Eugene King. Survivors include her mother, Helen Joye King; one son, Anthony Hamley and his wife Melissa; step-children, Allen, Donald, Micky, and Stephanie Christian; grandchildren, Alex and Zach Hamley, and Betsy, Elaine, Harrison, Katie, Lily, Sarah Elizabeth, and Shelby Christian; and brothers and sisters, Sherry Bowling and her husband Tab, Julie Hill and her husband Bob, Paul King, and Joy Leopard and her husband Jeff.
