Grover Waldrop, age 85, of Hoover, Al. passes away peacefully on December 14, 2019. He was born in Florence, Al. on January 16, 1934. Grover graduated from Coffee High School and went on to receive a BBA from The University of Alabama. Once graduating from college he went on to have a successful career in retail, he worked for Walmart, W.T. Grant and True Value Hardware. On August 22, 1970 Grover married, Linda Waldrop and began their life together. He had a passion for sports, especially football, basketball, and baseball.
Grover is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Waldrop; children, Larry Waldrop, Mike Waldrop, Rebecca Miller, and Richard Middleton; grandchildren, Ryan and Shannon Middleton, Peyton , Addison, and Sophia Miller.
A Celebration of Mr. Waldrop's life will be January 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church.
