

Family and friends will gather Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama from 3-5 p.m., to include A Celebration of Life for Gwen at 4 p.m.
Gwen was born in Elmore County, Alabama on April 15, 1948. She had a life that was lived beautifully and deserves to be remembered beautifully! She always lived her life to the fullest of her own independence - she never let anything hold her back! She was a very strong-willed and strong woman who was there for anyone who needed her! Her passionate enthusiasm of life will live on through her family and friends!
Gwen's professional career was as a women's apparel buyer at Felsteins in the retail fashion industry. At various other times, she was employed as a bartender with the Crown Room and as a bag lady for Protection Products.
She was a member of The Bowling Association, as well as a proud member of the Veterans Association and the Cancer Awareness Foundation. In her adventurous leisure, she enjoyed bowling, bicycling, collecting jewelry, relaxing at the beach, and gambling at nearby casinos.
She is survived by daughters, Teresa Joy Raynor and Jeana Louise Patton; grandchildren, Amber Greenhill, Whitney Smith, Michael Smith, Megan Patton, Cody Smith, Chase Moore, Danielle Kelley, and Tyler Patton; great-grandchildren, Aiden Perry, Emma Mitchell, Asher Perry, Dean Kelley, and Jade Smith; two sisters, Jeralyn Kish and Marcheta Veitch; and a brother, Samford Collier.
