In the Birmingham, Alabama area, Hubert was co-owner of Wolbach Brothers Inc. floor coverings company, and later co-owner of H&G Green House. A U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, he was a long-time, active member of Riverchase United Methodist Church.
He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years and the mother of his children, Barbara Bryan Wolbach; his second wife of nine years, Belva Steed Wolbach; and eight of his nine siblings, Pauline W. Sutton, Christine W. Hickey, Ruth Wolbach, Mary Katherine W. Berry, R.T. Wolbach, Gordon Wolbach, Robert Wolbach, and Charles G. Wolbach.
Survivors include Hubert's son, Eric Bryan (Donna) Wolbach of Dallas, Texas; daughter Teresa Wolbach (Pete) Real of Hoover, Alabama; and son Gary Edward (Cindy) Wolbach of Odenville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Leslie W. (Patrick) Cadic, Melissa W. (Robert) Smith, Ryan B. Lamb, and Christopher S. Wolbach; four great-grandchildren, Finley Cadic, Jack Cadic, and Lilly Cadic; Dakota Wolbach and one sister, Betty Jo Wolbach Roach of Knoxville, Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and care givers of Col. Robert L. Howard Veteran’s home in Pell City Alabama.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. A Celebration of Hubert Wolbach's Life will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Rev. Nancy Harper and Rev. John Ray will officiate.
