Jack was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 11, 1929, to the late Willis M. Barnes and Lillie Mae Kendrick Barnes. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert Barnes and Willis Barnes; and his nephew Tom Barnes.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Branch at Mission Hills Baptist Church in Alabaster, Alabama.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jeane Walker Barnes; his four stepchildren along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ralph Barnes and two loving nephews, Jim Barnes and Bill Barnes.
A graveside service will be held at Valhalla Cemetery in Midfield, Alabama on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 11:00 am.
