Jacqueline Weir Thompson

"Jackie" graduated from Ensley High School and attended Birmingham Southern College. She was married to Daniel C. Thompson on November 22, 1950 and enjoyed 64 years of a wonderful marriage. She was a member of Shades Mountain Independent Church, and had a passion for music, church, time at the beach, and most of all her family.

Jackie is survived by Daniel W. Thompson (Laura), son; Valerie T. Middleton (Louis Kilgore), daughter; Jeffrey A. Thompson (Tricia), son; grandchildren, Camille Thompson, Brent Thompson (Samantha), and Katie M. Brackett (Jason); and great-grandchildren, Piper Brackett, Redmond Brackett, and Cameron Wood.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Thompson; her brother, Hughey Weir; sister, Rubie Black; sister, Gertrude Larson; and grandson, Brandon K. Wood.

The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama. Due to COVID-19, the service will be live-streamed at 11 a.m. Thursday via Facebook on Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
