

"Farris" retired from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service. He served as a 1041st Military Police, and one of his greatest honors was being a Ranger,
He was a World Champion in Military Police Pistol Competition. He received the Meritorious Service Medal for his military career.
One of the highlights of Farris' post-military life was being "Paw Paw" to his four grandchildren. He was also known as a "damn good fisherman," his family says.
Farris was predeceased by his parents, Mary Evelyn Hall and James Edward Hall. Survivors include one daughter, Cassie Hall (Susan Brown); two sons, Douglas Hall and Nathan Edward Hall (Kathryn Hall); grandchildren, Lilly Elizabeth Hall, Laney Michelle Hall, Clint Hall, and Ashley Hall; and one brother, Roger Dale Hall (Judy Hall).
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by A Celebration of Mr. Hall's Life at 11 a.m. in the funeral home's chapel.
The gravesite committal service will be at 1:15 p.m. on February 5, 2019 at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo.
