James “Dennis” Glass passed away on February the 28th, 2016 at the age of 57. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rhonda Glass; sons, Matthew Glass (Candace) and Nicholas Glass; “adopted” sons, Nick Derzis and Lee Kennedy; parents, Leon and Sarah Glass; sister, Melanie Maldonado (Chip); brother, Donnie Glass; father in law and mother in law, Wade and Maggie Adkins; granddaughter, Skylar Glass; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. Dennis worked as a teacher at Briarwood Christian School for 28 years. He was a member of Burning Bush Church in Jemison, AL where he was the pianist. Dennis spent much of his time outdoors where he enjoyed camping, gardening, and beaching. Dennis also lived in a house divided, but pulled for the Alabama Crimson Tide. There will be a visitation at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday the 2nd from 1pm to 2pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday the 2nd at 2:00pm. The burial will follow the service in the family cemetery in Jemison, AL.
