James W Holland, Jr passed on Tuesday, November 16 2021, he was surrounded by those that loved him dearly.

Jim was born on December, 21 1937 in Metter GA to his parents James W Holland and Mildred Newton-Holland-Jeffords. He was raised in Camilla Georgia and attended Mitchell County High School. After graduating from Florida State University he started as a rural mail carrier for the USPS in Camilla working his way through the USPS to the rank of Postal Inspector. During his tenure Jim held numerous management positions within the US Postal Service. He spent over 3 decades in the Postal Service and in 1993 ultimately retired in Birmingham, AL as United States Postal Inspector in charge. After his initial retirement he spent the next 10 years as the Executive Director of the Alabama Real-estate Appraisers Board.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Holland and her loving family along with his three sons: James W Holland III (Joann), Juliana and James, Tim Holland (Stacey), Haleigh and Lindsey, Shannon Holland (Penny), Taelar Conn (Levi) Brian and Daniel.

Jim's viewing will be on Friday, November 19 from 12-2 followed by a service in the chapel at 2pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home 475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 3pm Westview Cemetery 1680 Westview Dr SW, Atlanta GA 30310

Jim was my first Inspector-In-Charge in New Orleans, La. He was an extremely intelligent and knowledgeable individual. I learned much about the Service from him. He was a great Boss and a greater person. He will be missed. Heart felt condolences to Jims family. Jim - rest in PEACE my friend.

Jim and I worked together in Montgomery, AL. He was the domicile coordinator and EC Inspector while I was the Territory Inspector. He was an excellent investigator and good friend. Rest in Peace, Jim.
