, age 32, of Alabaster, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. The Atlanta, Georgia native was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army, having received numerous military medals. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angeline Vivian Horton, and his paternal grandfather, James C. Horton. Survivors include Jim's wife, Carlee Horton; children, Ayden, J.C., Lucian, Gage, and Colette; father, Jim Horton and wife Cheryl; grandmother, Elizabeth Horton; sister, Tiffany Arnold and husband Johnny; and step-sisters, Jennifer Fogleman and husband Jeremy, and Lauren Marx-Abel and husband Jared. The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service to celebrate Jim's life on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama.
