James Alfred McDanal Jr. (Jimmy) 82, passed away on August 5th, 2024 suddenly of a long battle with dementia. He is predeceased in death by his parents, Alfred and Mildred McDanal; his daughter, Deanna McGill, and his loving wife, Jean McDanal and step-son, Terry Holloway.
He is survived by his partner, Mary Kelly; son, James Andrew McDanal; daughter, Stacy; step-daughters, Tammy Otten (George), Marilyn Eddings (Leo); two brothers, Scotty McDanal (Terri), Gary McDanal Jody); 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Jimmy enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, and loved to travel in his motorhome, especially the mountains.
A visitation for James will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124, followed by a funeral service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
