James N. Swords, age 46, of Birmingham, passed away on Monday, February 03, 2014. Jim is survived by his wife, Christy Ainsworth Swords; a son, Jacob A. Swords; daughters, Samantha C. Swords and Julia A. Swords; parents, William A. and Mary V. Swords; a brother W. Edward Swords (Tina); and a sister Susan S. Thames (William).
A memorial service celebrating Mr. Swords’ life will be at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Briarwood Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in honor of Jim are made to Briarwood Presbyterian Church “For Coming Generations” Building Fund, 2200 Briarwood Way, Birmingham, AL 35243.
