Jane Turner Turner Bishop

BISHOP, JANE TURNER Jane Turner Bishop, 44, of Pelham, AL, passed away March 25, 2011, surrounded by family and friends. Jane was born May 2, 1966, in Philadelphia, MS, the daughter of the late Frank and Geraldine Turner. She was second in birth of 4 children. On March 7, 1987, Jane married James Bishop of Florence, MS, who survives. Jane graduated from Leake Academy in Madden, MS in 1984, and attended Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS. Jane grew up working at Turner Hardware, owned by her father, Frank, and his two brothers, Joe and Walter. Jane worked at Pelham High School as the Athletic Administrative Assistant for Coach Brett Burnett. She is survived by her husband James Bishop, daughter Briana Bishop, son Michael Bishop, son Andrew Bishop, brother Mike Turner of Englewood, CO, brother Bill Turner of Oxford, MS, and sister Dana Pendarvis of Murfreesboro, TN. Visitation to be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL on Sunday, March 27th, from 5:00pm until 7:00 PM. Services will be held at Westwood Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL on Monday, March 28th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Jane Bishop to Pelham Football, Pelham Baseball, or Jacksonville State University Baseball.
