

Born in Aberdeen, Mississippi, Jasper grew up in Powderly, Alabama and attended Jones Valley High School. He served with the U.S. Air Force during WWII and the Korean War.
Jasper was owner of Yokely Paint and Body Shop in Birmingham, Alabama, and a member of First Baptist Church of Hoover.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Martha Scarvey Sullivan; three children, Pamela Collum (Bob), Mark Sullivan (Brenda), and Brenda George (Robert); six granddaughters, Jennifer Schleger (Michael), Kristin Collum (David Franklin), Nicole Ivey (James Price), Mary McDonald (Wade), Brett Driver (Wes), and Megan Brown (Justin); seven great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren on the way.
The family thanks Kindred Hospice and caregivers Candace, Cheryl, Cynthia, and Annette for their compassion and support.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Hoover, immediately followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama. Dr. Randy Atkinson and Rev. Eric Roberts will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hoover First Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
