

Jeanne Mainor Anderson was born on October 11, 1945, in Fernandina Beach, Florida, to Henry and Barbara Mainor. She grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Jeanne later attended St. Margaret’s School of Nursing in Montgomery and went on to have a long career as a registered nurse, caring for others with compassion and dedication.
On July 30, 1966, Jeanne married Rex Anderson in Montgomery. Together they built a wonderful life and were blessed with two children, Win and Mallory.
Jeanne was a member of Hoover & Riverchase Church of Christ and lived a life centered around faith, family, and serving others. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking for family and friends, sewing, and finding ways to help those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Barbara Mainor.
Jeanne leaves behind many who will cherish her memory, including her husband of many years, Rex; her children, Win (Amy) and Mallory (Jonathon); and her beloved grandchildren, Molly Grace, Bradley, and Logan Anderson, and Jon Robert and Anderson Kohn. She is also survived by her sisters, Prudy Skoog, Carol Messick, and Sarah Sanders, and her brother, Skip Mainor.
A visitation will be held at Hoover Church of Christ on April 18 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. In keeping with Jeanne’s bright and joyful spirit, the family invites guests to wear colorful attire as we celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
