It is where she met and married her first love, Robert L. Hankins, who shared her love of dance, and to whom she eventually married. Together they moved to Peoria, IL and added two children, Blake and Mark, to their young family.

As Don continued to develop his career, Jeanne was the encouraging wife, agreeing to cross country moves and finding immense joy in travelling the world with her husband.
In the mid 1970’s they moved to Pelham, AL where they bought their forever home. Jeanne went to work for Mike Summers at his company Gradco Landscaping as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper.
