Jessie D. Lambert

Jessie Dean Lambert, age 76, of Birmingham, Al, passed away on October 28, 2019. Jessie was born December 14, 1942 in Centreville, Al. She graduated from Bibb Co High School in 1961. She went on to graduate from Dental Assistant School at The University of North Carolina. She worked as an Oral Surgery Assistant for many years and retired from the VA Oral Surgery in Birmingham, Al. She and her husband were members of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham, Al. She was an accomplished gardener and homemaker; she enjoyed needlework and sewing. Jessie was a loving wife, mother, and sister and will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow and Lena T. Boyd; sister Barbara Ann. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, L.A. Lambert Jr.; one daughter; Dena Lambert of Homewood, Al; sisters, Annette B. Tucker of Montevallo, Al and Elizabeth Boyd of Centreville, AL; brothers; Frank Boyd of Woodstock, Al, Jamie Boyd (Janie) and Bob Boyd both of Centreville, Al, George Boyd (Anne) of Tuscaloosa, Al, and Willie Boyd of Centreville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a service following at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery
