Jewell Franks of Pelham, Alabama passed away on May 7, 2019 at the age of 97.

Jewell was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Franks; mother, Lola Millner; and sister, Mary Morris.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Franks (Deborah), Guy Franks, and Tim Franks (Sherry); five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Jewell graduated from West End High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a charter member of Cahaba Heights Church of Christ and North Shelby Church of Christ. She was an avid gardener and traveled the world extensively. Her greatest passions in life were serving her Lord and being devoted to her family.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, immediately followed by A Celebration of Jewell's Life at 1 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Pastor Dave Haley will officiate.
