James Lamont "Jim" Button, age 49, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. He was born in Pennsylvania on April 17, 1965, and was a resident of Alabaster, Alabama, from 2002 until his death. He was employed as an automobile technician.
Jim was an avid fan of NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, and a fan of Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey. His favorite pastimes were playing race car games with his son Michael and watching YouTube with his baby girl, Alivia. He shared love with his wife and best friend, Honie Jo, for 20 years.
Jim was predeceased by his mother, Sandra Button. Survivors include Jim's wife, Honie Jo; their two children, Michael James Button and Alivia Jo Button; Jim's father, Peter Button; two sisters, Lynn Leberte and Lori Button; and two nieces, Kayla Ann Leberte and Jessica Leigh Leberte.
The family will greet friends from 4 p.m. until the Memorial Celebration of Jim's Life at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama.
