Jimmie Falkner Legg

Jimmie Legg of Birmingham, Alabama, and formerly of Starkville, Mississippi, was born on July 6, 1937. She passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Throughout her life, Jimmie was known for her dedication, quiet strength, and dependable spirit. She worked at State Farm in Homewood, Alabama and later at Vulcan Materials in Accounts Payable. She was respected for her strong work ethic and the care she brought to all she did.

Above all, Jimmie cherished her family. She is survived by her four children, Randy Dickinson (Dorie), Janet Dickinson, Tracy Dickinson (Johnny), and Chris Dickinson (Tionna); seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Her family includes Mike Dickinson (Sarah) and their children Natalie, Lexie, Julie, and Ryan; Brad Dickinson (Abbey) and their sons Oliver and Noah; Lori Trotter (Melanie Goss) and their children Katie, Haley, and George; Patrick Weber (Cayla) and their children Sadie and Colton; as well as Tucker Reimel, Cade Dickinson, and Grant Dickinson. The love she shared with her family will remain one of her greatest legacies.

Jimmie passed peacefully in Birmingham at South Haven, where she had made her home for the past seven years. She will be cremated and taken to Maben, Mississippi, where she will be laid to rest beside her mother.

Though Jimmie is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
