Johnny was such a sweet man, he helped us with our rental home fixing and repairing whatever we needed and always took so much pride in his work. I can’t believe he is gone at such a young age. He will definitely be missed and our thoughts are with his family and friends!! Ed and Diane Moulin

As you are laid to rest today...I will memorialize you here with the song you requested be played in your passing.... in my yard where you spoke your last words and took your last breath.
It's telling that your last act of kindness on this earth was for me.
Our love for one another was deep, authentic and genuine love...
As you said in the cards you left me to find...
"Your favorite love story of all time"
Your last words were everything I needed to know.
You were certain to make certain I KNEW that you loved me more than words could say.
You are here with me...your spirit is guiding my way.
I love you Johnny with every part of my heart and soul...
I will miss you every single day..

Johnny was such an amazing person. I've known him for several years now and he was always so amazing to me and my family. What started out as a work friendship turned into a life long friendship. After I moved we made a point to talk to each other and stay connected. I always looked forward to our weekly conversations and it's hard to believe I won't have anymore of them. I pray for the family, the world lost an amazing man.

I’ve lived beside Holcomb building supply since I was 6 years old ! I’ve known Johnny all my life I’ve never forgot the day he called my job at Pennington Seed for a order & realize who we were talking too! He was such a great loving understanding person to my parents & looked after my mom when she needed help after dad passed. I’m just so shocked to see his passing where never ready to loose those we love dearly & think of them as our super hero! RIP my sweet friend & I’m praying for all you family & friends! Love & prayers Mrs. Mary Sanders Hankey

I know Johnny was a very good person. He took care of my husband Roland Henson in the building profession. Roland would always check with Johnny . I know everyone has lost a good friend.
He came by the Senior Center last Thursday, same Johnny ,a big smile and speaking to everyone.

My Heartfelt condolences to each of his children and loved ones. Johnny was my next door neighbor and my friend. He was always offering to lend a hand if I needed it. So kind to lend me his trailer anytime I needed it and always telling me if I needed anything or any scrap lumber to just come on over and get it. We’ve shared beers and stories . He loved each of you children so much and was so proud of each of you! He loved his grand babies too! He and I shared a commonality in remodeling houses and design techniques. It always meant a lot to me that he liked the changes I have made to his parents home. If I ever needed to know anything about the house he had the answer and was happy to help.

I just saw him this past weekend and planned to come over the week to use the trailer and get some lumber and tin he had set aside for me.
My children are distraught. Especially my daughter she is beside herself because she just talked to him Saturday night when he was buying cat food at Dollar General and he told her to tell me he would see me this week.
I just waved to him this weekend and honked the horn and told him I would see him sometime this week. I never in a million years through it would be the last time I saw him. My heart just aches.
I sure am going to miss him! He loved fresh okra from my garden and I always loved to share with him. My children John and Anora are going to miss him too. He was a kindhearted man and always had a smile.

My deepest condolences for the family. Dan and I were class mates so Mr Holcombe and Mrs Holcombe were always there with a helping hand or encouraging word. Mr Holcombe was also there for us graduates as a job or school reference. I'm sure most of us never got the chance to really thank him. He will be greatly missed.
