John Yuilee Pace

John Yuilee Pace of Hoover, Alabama died January 30, 2016 at the age of 87 after a Lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife Bea Pace; brother, Stewart H. Pace; son, Barry A. Pace (Sandy) Brandon, MS.; daughters, Janet Breighner (Joey) Of Springville, AL. and Audrey Swygert (Johnny) of Blythewood, SC. He had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a large host of friends and neighbors. He loved his faithful and loving dog, Cricket, who sat by his side until the end. He was a member of the Riverchase United Methodist Church on Old Montgomery Highway, Hoover, AL. John was retired from O’Neal Steel, which he considered his second family, after 34 years of service. He served in the Alabama Air National Guard in his earlier years. He was very proud to have worked and served in these two places. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the Riverchase United Methodist Church. Dr. Jim Savage will officiate. Family visitation and luncheon will follow in the church’s Riverchase Room. The family would like to thank Southeast Hospice Networks and all of their employees, Jennifer, Debra, and especially Stacey Barwick, who with loving hands and comforting words brought a smile to his face. All their care and concern was deeply appreciated. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Riverchase United Methodist Building Fund, The Humane Society, Alzheimer’s Society, or the charity of your choice.
