Jose "Bodoke" Guadalupe Jacobo Hernandez, age 24, of Pelham, AL, passed away on August 30, 2026. He was born on August 9, 2002, in Ciudad Guzmán, Mexico. Jose was a graduate of Pelham High School and went on to start a career in the food service industry. He was working as a server at Phil Sandavol's, where he enjoyed serving others and the many connections he made through his work.
He leaves behind his parents, Angelica Hernandez and Edgar Velazquez; brother, Raul Jacobo Hernandez; and children, Everleigh Rose Jacobo and Aiden Jacobo.
Visitation will be held at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124, on September 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A visitation for Bodoke will take place at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 4600 Preserve Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35226, on September 7, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on September 7, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
