Joseph “Joe” Searcy age 77, of Pelham, Alabama, passed away on November 29, 2020. Mr. Searcy was a Vietnam Veteran with the US Army and served as a recruiter; he attended the First Baptist Church in Pelham, former owner of Fairfield Exxon, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Searcy, and his mother, Ruby Lowery. He leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons, Kevin (Marky) Searcy, Keith (Allison) Searcy and Kenneth Searcy; daughter, Heather (Alex) Eastman; grandchildren, JJ, Chris, Jordan, Patrick, DeAnn, Brenna, Kyle, Micah, Malakai, Hadlee, and Austen; great-grandchildren, Asher, Bryson, Bayleigh, Jayden, Ollie, and Phillip. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Southern Heritage Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 am with burial following the Chapel service at Southern Heritage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Mr. Searcy’s name to Cancer Research.
