After moving to Birmingham in 1964, she and Warren joined Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Vestavia Hills, where she taught Sunday School and for many years led the Potential Leadership Training ministry, a 12-week course she developed that equipped adults for Sunday School leadership positions. Her life revolved around her family, her church, and her many friends.
