Joyce M. Powell

Joyce (Moore Punch) Powell, 78, of Alabaster, AL (previously Bowie, MD) passed away on February 10, 2018 after a courageous battle with the neuromuscular condition Myasthenia Gravis (MG). A funeral service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church on Friday February 16, 2018 at 2:00pm with internment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. She was preceded in death by her first husband Frank G. Punch, Jr. and parents George and Edith Moore. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years John D. Powell, brother Roger Moore (Judy) of Birmingham, son Frank G. Punch, III (Melissa) of Richmond, VA, Paul Powell (Diane) of Brookline, New Hampshire, Mark Powell (Rosanna) of Edgewater, MD, Elizabeth (Powell) Greene (William) of Moncks Corner, SC and Priscilla (Powell) North of Canton, PA. Her grandchildren, Kelsey and Emma Punch, Meaghan, Erin and Ian Powell, Rachel Greene, Geoffrey, Mimi and Christopher Isenberg (North) and Kelsey (Isenberg) Counterman (Zach), and great-grandson Tristan, were the loves of her life.
