Judy was preceded by death by her loving husband of 49 years, Pete Atkisson. He passed on December 2, 2013. She is survived by her sons, Mike Atkisson (wife, Missy) of Pelham, Alabama and Mark Atkisson of Birmingham, Alabama; and one daughter, Mandy Atkisson of Alabaster, Alabama. Judy adored her three grandchildren, Connor Atkisson (wife, Gabby), Carly Atkisson, and Dylan Atkisson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama from 12-1 p.m., followed by A Service of Remembrance for Judy at 1 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage. Burial, Elliotsville Cemetery, Alabaster, Alabama.
