Geraldine "Judy" Fields White, 75, died peacefully at her Birmingham, AL home on Friday afternoon, April 4, 2014. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was loved very much and will be greatly missed. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, James Herman Fields and Willie Lorene Browning Fields, and brother, George Eugene Fields. Survivors include Judy's loving husband of 58 years, Johnny L. White, Jr., son Terry J. White (Maria), and daughter Penny D. Smith (Randy Herron), all of Birmingham; grandchildren, Jonathon Casey White of Dallas, TX, and Ashley Nicole Bartel Bliss, Shannon Marie Bartel, and Austin Crawford Smith, all three of Birmingham; and great-grandson Harrison Michael Bliss. Also surviving is faithful, grand-dog Duncan. Judy was born in Walker County, AL and attended schools there. She worked for 50 years, most of them as Head Bank Teller, and then First National Bank of Birmingham, later AmSouth, and more recently, Regions Bank retiring in December 2012. She was a member of the Women's Junior Chamber of Commerce of Birmingham. She was a long-time member of Crestway Baptist Church and is an active member of Liberty Park Baptist Church.
