Julia Lee Dill, age 89, passed away July 6, 2015 .She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannie Dill McLendon; parents, Alton Lee McWhorter and Grace Carolyn Benton; sisters, Betty Jane, Pete, and Patricia. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Guy S. Dill; sons, Jimmy (Diane) and Butch Dill; brother, Ronny McWhorter; grandchildren, Jana(Chris) Zaragoza, Brooke (Jay) Stewart, Brian (Emily) McLendon, Jennifer (Steve) Brown; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Addison, Lauren, Julia, Hayes, Gavin, Will, Mary, Baker, and Landon; and many nieces and nephews. She retired from Alabama Power and continued working until the age of 85. Julia was also known for her hospitality and loving spirit. The funeral service will begin at 11am at Lakeside Baptist Church on Friday the 10th with a visitation starting one hour prior. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Jimmie Hale Mission in downtown Birmingham. We will love and miss you Memaw.
