Julia Roberts White

Julia was preceded in death by her father, Nicholas Boxley Roberts Sr.; her mother, Jean Gammon Roberts; her brother, Nicholas Boxley Roberts Jr.; and her nephew, Rob Kappus.

Julia dedicated more than 30 years to the medical field in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Birmingham, working with the Baptist Health System and Cardiovascular Associates. She was also an active member of the Alabama chapter of the Medical Group Management Association. Her commitment, professionalism, and compassion touched the lives of many colleagues and patients over the decades.

Julia is survived by her husband of 44 years, David E. White; her son, Sidney DeRamus; her daughter, Rebecca Hughes; her grandson, Nicholas Hughes; her granddaughter, Julia Hughes; her sister, Sally Kappus; and her beloved kitty cat, Pearl.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Birmingham, from 1-2 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the church, 2870 Acton Road, Birmingham, AL 35243

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shelby Humane Society, 381 McDow Road, Columbiana, AL 35051, in Julia White's name.
