Justin Raymond Boss

Justin Raymond Boss, age 37, of Alabaster, AL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, April 26, 2017. He was born on September 21, 1979 in Birmingham, AL, to the late Haywood Raymond Boss, Jr. and Janet Chitwood Boss.

Justin was a passionately protective father to his young daughter, Piper, as well as a loving son, brother, and friend.

After graduating from Pelham High School and earning his Associate of Science Degree at Wallace State, Justin was accepted into the Forestry Program at Auburn University. He was a self-employed landscaper who enjoyed the outdoors and Auburn University football with Piper and other family. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham, where he and family recently celebrated Piper's baptism.

In addition to his mother, Jan Boss of Alabaster, and his daughter, Piper Boss of Alabaster, Justin is survived by his sister, Ellen Boss of Ann Arbor, MI; his brother, Cody Boss of Nashville, TN; aunt and uncle, Bob and Joyce Corey; and cousins, Mark, Scott, and Chris Corey.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, immediately followed by the Celebration of Justin's Life at 1 p.m. in Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Dr. Mike Shaw and Dr. Daven Watkins will officiate.
