Karen Bearden Baggett

Karen Bearden Baggett of Hoover, AL, previously of Clarksville, TN, passed away from a hard fought battle with ovarian cancer. She was a member of Discovery United Methodist Church in Hoover, and a graduate of Jones Valley High School, class of ’72.

Survived by son, Steven C. Baggett (Angela); mother, Betty Parsons Bearden; sister, Diane Bearden Stonicher (Gary); brothers, Robert and Kevin Bearden; niece, Shelly Stonicher Powers (Richard); nephews, Adam Bearden, Jeremy Bearden, Chad Bearden (April), and Aaron Bearden; grand-niece and nephews, Brylee and Jackson Powers and Parker Bearden; cousin, Connie Hopper (Tommy); a very special grand-dog, Poochie; two grand-cats, Jack Oliver and Ella; and many other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by father, Elmer Doyle Bearden; brother, Gary Doyle Bearden; sister-in-law, Nedda Bearden; grandparents, Sam and Marge Parsons, and Elmer and Fannie Bearden.

A special thanks to all the friends, neighbors, and family for the many acts of kindness shown during her illness. Also, a thank you to Dr. Adler, his staff and Brookwood Medical Center for the care she received during her battle with cancer.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be at 2pm Friday, June 2 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Mike Skelton officiating, with visitation one hour prior.
