Summers, Karen Ann age 70, of Pelham, Alabama, went to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ on October 20, 2011. Member of Riverchase UMC. Retired from Southern Company after 22 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Florence Rood. Survivors; Husband of 50 years, Mr. Ron Summers, son; Scott (Teri) Summers, grandson; Christopher Carpenter, brother; Robert Rood. A host of other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at southern Heritage Funeral Home October 24, 2011 at 2:00pm with burial in Southern Heritage Cemetery.
