

Kay graduated from the University of Texas with her undergraduate degree in 1974 before attending The Birmingham School of Law in 1994. Her professional career spanned several years in Insurance Adjusting and as an Attorney in Birmingham.
In her leisure, Kay enjoyed flower gardening and painting. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Birmingham, where she was active in the Adult Singles Sunday School, UMW Board, Flower Ministry, Finance Committee, Hospitality, Heart Connection, and UMW Martha Circle.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Keller; her father, A.V. Kelley; her step-father, B.B. Stanfield, Jr.; grandparents; and one aunt. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Stanfield; her sister and two brothers; and various cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends will visit Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham from 1-2 p.m., followed by A Service of Thanks to God for Mary's Life at 2 p.m. at the church, 6690 Cahaba Valley Road, Birmingham, AL 35242. Burial will be at Stryker Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas.
