Kelly Doyle Sims, 43, of Shelby County, Alabama, passed away on May 28, 2025. Kelly was born in Louisiana to Joseph A. Doyle (Joe) and Barbara Rainer Doyle. She grew up in Alabama, graduating from Pelham High School before earning her degree in Business Administration from the University of Montevallo.
On October 16, 2004, Kelly married the love of her life, Robert Allen Sims. Together they have shared many years of love, laughter and welcomed their beloved son, Grant, into their lives.
Kelly was a vibrant and active member of the Birmingham Track Club. She had a passion for running and found joy in spending time near the water, whether at the beach or the lake.
Kelly is survived by her parents, Joe and Barbara Doyle; loving husband of 21 years, Robert Allen Sims; son, Grant; mother and father in-laws, Bobby and Fran Sims; sisters, Amy Pleat (David) and Molly Doyle; and sister in-law, Amy Sims Whiten (Brent).
