Kenneth Lee May

He was born in Powderly, Al on Dec 15, 1927. Kenneth graduated from Jones Valley High School and received International Business School training. He was married to Mary Jo Ethridge on August 7, 1964. Kenneth worked for International Harvest Company, Powderly Baptist Church, Wood Chevrolet and retired from UAB Natural Science and Mathmatics department. He was a previous member of Powderly Baptist Church and Green Valley Baptist Church. Most recently a memeber of Metro Church of God. He was a loving husband, father and friend to all. Enjoyed working in the yard, feeding the birds and beach trips with his family. He was a World War II veteran.

He was survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Jo, daughter Audra Romans (Jordan), son Jonathan May (Lesley); grandchildren Nathaniel Jordan Romans, Ashley Marie Romans, Logan Daniel May and Lindsey Grace May. Preceeded by his father Clarence Wesley May and mother Allie Ward Brasher May and an infant brother.

Viewing will be held at Southern Heritage on Tues May 27 from 5:30 - 7:30. Funeral on Wed May 28, 11:00 at Metro Church of God. Burial will be at The Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo at 2:00pm.
