Kimiko was a native of Kenagawa Ken, Japan, where she was born to Shoichi and Iso Okamoto. She immigrated to the United States in the 1970s with her husband and three children. She became a U.S. Citizen in 2001, an accomplishment that she was immensely proud of. During her lifetime she was known as a friend to all that crossed her path. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In her leisure, she enjoyed singing, ballroom dancing, crafting, kendo martial arts, and cooking.
Kimiko was predeceased by her parents, Shoichi and Iso Okamoto. She is survived by her three children: Yaeko Marie (Bill) Quinn, Keiko Peoples and William (Katie) Battersby; grandchildren, William, Christina, Shelina, Joseph and Brian; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Levi, Amelia, Juliana, Anabella, Ava, Dakota and Makinley.
